In 2008, Spring Day for Europe joins the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue initiative to promote intercultural dialogue and help raise awareness for young people about cultural diversity, as a major asset to our common European cultural heritage.

The main goal of the campaign is to prepare and assist schools in planning, organising and running their own events as part of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. A wide range of activities and events are expected to take place at local, national and European level.

The Spring Day for Europe Team invites you to visit a school from your country, region or town/village to talk to young Europeans about Europe and your work as a public figure. Be part of this unique event to encourage students and teachers from different cultures to establish meaningful dialogues aiming to get to know each other better, and remove prejudice and stereotypes. Make your own contribution to communicating cultures to young Europeans to help them be better prepared for the tomorrow’s challenges!
